DIRECT ANSWER
What the player needs to know

Drink from the three Vrakhir bosses
The direct route is tied to the three Vrakhir boyars. Raise pressure against their operations until the corresponding confrontation opens, defeat the boss and take the branch that lets Coen drink their blood. Unlike a normal skill-tree purchase, the reward grants the associated ability without spending a skill point.
Keep a manual save before the post-fight decision. Drinking is a story choice as well as a build reward, and a player comparing outcomes should preserve the branch before accepting an irreversible result.
| Vrakhir | Ability |
|---|---|
| Ambrus | Scarlet Shield |
| Bakir | Shadowstorm |
| Xanthe | Blood Surge |
Look for blood vials beyond the boss route
Some nighttime Murohn dens can reward Vrakhir blood vials, and launch-build reporting identifies additional sources in Xanthe’s Recruiters in Tantari Woods and The Silts, plus Lost Blood in St. Tyna’s Grove. These vials work more like ability manuals: they can unlock a related power or add another level when the ability is already available.
Piercing Shriek is tied to completing Our Rotten Roots. Mesmerize is obtained by eating the mandrake at the end of The Night of Horrors. Those are quest rewards rather than reasons to assume every Vrakhir ability comes from one of the three boyars.
- Search Murohn dens at night for blood vials.
- Check Xanthe’s Recruiters, The Silts and Lost Blood.
- Complete Our Rotten Roots for Piercing Shriek.
- Use the mandrake in The Night of Horrors for Mesmerize.
Keep Vrakhir blood separate from ordinary corruption
Most Vampirism abilities unlock as Coen’s corruption rises through feeding and other vampire behavior. Vrakhir blood is a more specific acquisition route: named boss blood can directly award a power, while vials behave like manuals. Drinking it also raises corruption, so one action may affect both progression tracks without making them the same system.
If the tree shows a locked node, first read its acquisition condition. A corruption threshold, a named Vrakhir source and a quest item require different solutions. The corruption guide covers the general progression pressure; this page stays focused on the named blood sources and their rewards.
The named abilities and acquisition routes on this page come from an independent launch-build guide. A controlled save before each Vrakhir decision will be used to confirm whether drinking, sparing or another branch changes the reward, and whether blood vials grant a new ability or only an additional level when the skill is already known. Patch-sensitive quest names and locations will remain dated until reproduced on the current build.
