RULES OF THE NARRATIVE SANDBOX

The Blood of Dawnwalker Gameplay Systems

Understand the 30-day clock, day and night play, open world, travel, difficulty, protagonist, solo mode and consequences.

The systems directory separates mechanics that are easy to confuse. The 30-day clock is a story resource tied to selected commitments; the day/night cycle changes Coen’s form and available approaches. They interact, but they are not the same timer.

It also gives short, sourced answers to purchase-shaping questions: Vale Sangora is officially an open world, fast travel is confirmed, Coen does not use a horse, the game is single-player and Coen is an authored protagonist rather than a blank custom character.

Confirmed rule versus launch edge case

Each system page puts the stable rule first, then labels the conditions that still need direct observation. That keeps a clear answer useful without turning edited footage into exact costs, frames or unlock steps.

The consequence page follows the same discipline. Action and inaction are core ideas; a universal morality meter, numeric reputation system or complete ending tree is not assumed.

A system is only useful in context

Pages link to the quest, combat and platform decisions affected by the rule. Fast travel links back to the story clock. Difficulty links to directional combat. Character identity links to the cast and choices. The internal links are written as reasons to continue, not a pile of keyword anchors.
