What the player needs to know

What the official skill briefing says
Vampirism does not sit in the tree as ordinary neutral magic. Its growth is connected to Coen’s condition, feeding and corruption. That thematic link may carry mechanical or narrative trade-offs, but a guide must observe those trade-offs instead of filling them in from vampire fiction.
The launch page will separate a value that unlocks a node from a story response caused by the action used to reach it. Those are related but not interchangeable claims.
A safe way to test corruption
Create a branch save before feeding or selecting a corruption-linked unlock. Record the current value, available nodes, nearby character responses and quest state. Make one change, then check both the skill interface and the world response.
Repeat from the branch for another threshold. This controls more variables than continuing a long playthrough and later attributing every difference to corruption.
- Save before the change.
- Record the visible value and available nodes.
- Change one source of corruption.
- Check skills, dialogue and quest state separately.
Unknowns that stay visible
The exact cap, every feeding opportunity, threshold rewards, reversibility and ending impact are not established here. Search demand is not evidence for a hidden system.
Corruption tests will change one source at a time from a preserved save and record the visible value before checking skills, dialogue and quest state. Feeding on different targets or under different conditions will not be assumed equivalent. If the system has hidden thresholds, the guide will narrow them through repeated observations rather than inventing a precise number. Reversibility, caps and ending effects will remain separate claims because a skill unlock can be real even when a broader story consequence is still unknown.

Frequently asked questions
How do I increase corruption?
Feeding and vampiric development are officially connected to corruption, but exact gains and all sources require launch testing.
Is high corruption bad?
A complete benefit and consequence table is not yet verified. Preserve a branch save before committing to large changes.
