Get Anca to the library
After meeting Anca and entering the convent, escape the first group of self-reviving nuns and overlook the central courtyard. Before choosing a route, collect the Saint’s Tibia from the corpse below the ladder on the west side. It is used by a later quest and is easy to leave behind once the courtyard objective moves on.
Find the Monastery Keys hanging in the groundskeeper’s wooden shed beside the sacristy. One route is to speak with the trapped soldiers behind the infirmary, use the keys to enter the sacristy, take the Relic of St. Tyna from the dead nun and exchange it for safe passage to the library. The relic is an Epic Amulet, so trading it is a real equipment choice.
- Take the Saint’s Tibia below the west ladder.
- Loot the Monastery Keys from the shed.
- Open the sacristy for the Relic of St. Tyna.
- Return to Anca when the route is clear.
Use the bell if you want to keep the relic
Enter the building beside the sacristy and read Campana Loquitur on the floor. It explains that the zombified nuns still answer the convent’s bell routine. Unlock the door below the eastern bell tower, climb to the rope and ring the infirmary signal first; the nuns move to the soldiers’ position.
Ring the church signal second. This moves the nuns away again, letting Coen loot the defeated soldiers and search the courtyard buildings before returning to Anca. The route clears access without handing over the Epic Amulet.
| Route | Key action | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Soldier bargain | Exchange the Relic of St. Tyna | Fast access; lose the Epic Amulet |
| Bell tower | Infirmary signal, then church signal | Keep the relic; soldiers die |
Burning the notes does not end Anca’s route
Continue through the crypt and defeat Leonica, She Who Speaks With the Devil. The first angry response to Anca is not the final branch; the meaningful prompt comes afterward, when Coen can burn the research or let Anca attempt to cure the nuns.
Letting Anca use the notes cures the nuns, although she says further unholy bargains were required. Burning them leaves the nuns cursed and upsets her briefly. Both branches still lead to Between the Words, and neither prevents Anca’s romance. Keep a save here for later personal-story differences rather than restarting out of fear of a romance lockout.
The two convent routes and final decision are documented from independent launch-build reporting. Verification will preserve a save before entering the courtyard and another before the notes choice, then carry both branches through Between the Words and Stronger Than Achilles. The current page states only the reported immediate and romance effects; later narrative consequences remain versioned observations rather than universal guarantees.
